Waxing
Before you start waxing, do some preliminary tests. Test a small area of your skin to ensure that your skin is not extremely sensitive
or prone to allergies. The length of the hair must be 1-8 inch. Let it attain the minimum length before performing waxing.
Make sure your skin is washed properly and pat dry for the removal of any creams or oils earlier put on. Any remains of cosmetics can obstruct
the wax from getting closer to your skin. The wax must not be overheated. Otherwise it will burn your skin when it is applied. Therefore test it
on a small area of your skin.
Applying the Wax
In the direction of the hair growth, put a thin layer of wax. Hold the tongue depressor or spatula at an angle of 45 degree while spreading
the wax.
As far as the application of the cotton strip over the wax is concerned, rub in the direction of the hair growth. Leave around one third of the
strip free for allowing a fine grip to get a fast back pulling process.
Removing Hair
Before you have pulled the cotton strip away, the skin taut should be pulled. With a fast movement close to your skin, pull it back. Never
pull up or out. Bear the pain of a single quick and smooth pull back rather than suffering from the pains of several small light pulls. The
latter enhances pains and can cause patches on your skin.
The skin must be washed with warm moist towel to wash away extra wax.
Don’t make the hair wet before undergoing the waxing because water is absorbed by the hair pores making the hair soft. The soft hair may refuse
to stick completely to the wax.
Exfoliate
Exfoliate the skin after a period of 24/48 hours to remove the dead skin getting accumulated in areas like underarms or calves.
