Pedicure
Do you worry about your ‘neglected for so long’ nails and are thinking of visiting the salon? You don’t have to! Pedicure can be done at your
home. So why bother spending your hard earned money in expensive salons?
• Get together the following items required for a pedicure:
1. A Bowl of warm water for soaking the feet
2. A Special product such as peppermint foot soak or Epsom salt
3. A Nail polish remover (with moisturizing oils, if available)
4. Toe nail clipper
5. For very hard nail a heavy duty nail nipper
6. For toe nails, sharp pliers
7. A Nail file
8. Toe separators or cotton balls
9. Moisturizer for cuticles (this is optional)
10. A Base coat
11. A Nail color of your choice
12. Top coat for the Nail Color
13. Pumice stone for feet
14. A Buffer
• The existing nail polish should be removed finely so that no left over remains.
• Soak your feet for minimum 15 minutes in a bowl of warm water mixed with Epsom salt or similar product. If your feet are rough, soak them as
long as you can.
• Toenails must be clipped with clipper /nipper. With nail file, smooth them. Use cuticle moisturizer if they are hard.
• Utilize a special scraper in order to eliminate dead and dry skin if your feet are very rough and hard. To do this, the foot pumice can be
of great help.
• Now let your feet and toes dry completely. With the help of buffer, the toenails should be buffed to give it shining and dainty look.
• For the ultimate step, base coat on the nails must be applied and let it dry thoroughly. Then put the nail polish and when it has dried,
apply the top coat. Keep in mind to utilize the toe separator or the cotton balls. Don’t put on shoes before an hour, otherwise it will mess all
your effort.
